Becro Engineering Ltd. is the oldest of the three companies within the group and is the fabrication arm of the Becro group.
Founded on the 3rd of February 1972 as a joint venture between Mr. Bechtel and Mr. Robinson to fabricate sheet metal and duct work, the company quickly began to acquire a reputation for quality workmanship and customer service, a reputation which is still held today.
The workshop was located in Waltham Abbey and it was only when the company began to move towards the fabrication of gantries and large secondary steelwork and primary steelwork in the late 90's and early 00's that the factory moved to where we are today: One of the last Pre-World Ward 2 hangers located on North Weald Airfield near Epping.
The increase in workshop space and yard space has allowed Becro Engineering Ltd. to securely store more steelwork and fabricate ever larger elements. Clients can thus rest assured that all the steelwork required on a project can be fabricated, stored and loaded for transportation in a safe environment
The financial crisis of 2008 and the subsequent recession has had a major effect on the development of the company at it's new location on "The Airfield". However, despite the doom and gloom of a few years ago, the construction industry is slowly starting to pick up, and with the new-found confidence clients are having with the funding of projects, we at Becro feel that it is the time to invest internally to ensure we are ready for the surge in enquiries.
